 CrossFit to prepare for backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and ultra-marathons

Tieson is a CF-L1 and has been coaching CrossFit since 2015.He did his first CrossFit workout in 2012 when he was in high school and has been involved with Bitterroot CrossFit ever since along with gyms in Helena, Montana and Nashville, Tennessee.

 
Outside of the gym Tieson works as a CPA and enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing.

Coach Cory  Wetzsteon graduated from the University of Idaho in 2003 with a degree in Sports Science. He attended his first CrossFit class in the spring of 2016 and completed his Level 1 three years later in March of 2019. After coming on staff at Bitterroot CrossFit, he coached the foundations class for over a year and has since moved on to the Monday/Wednesday 5:30 class. Outside of the gym, Cory is an electrician for Wetzsteon Electric and stays active throughout the year doing pretty much anything outdoors with his two daughters, Abigail (12) and Austyn (8), and his fiance Jessica Lewis.

Suzy is a CF-L1 and also a physical therapist at Infinity Health PT. She has been coaching CrossFit since 2021 and is the primary coach
for the teen classes. She also coaches volleyball and plays recreationally in her spare time. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and daughters, Evelyn and Emery, enjoying the great outdoors: skiing, boating, hiking, etc!

Kyle has been crossfitting since 2016. He has done multiple local and regional competitions
and enjoys the competitive side of CrossFit. His favorite movements are the squat clean and pull-ups,
his day job is a scientist.

Lisa was born in Montana and raised here in the Bitterroot Valley. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 2003.After high school she played collegiate level soccer for two years at North Idaho College in Coeur D Alene, Idaho.Lisa started her CrossFit journey in 2013 in Shawnee, Kansas where she joined a gym and was hooked. In 2014, she got her CF-L1 in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved home to Montana in 2014 and has been coaching for Bitterroot CrossFit ever since. When she is not coaching or doing CrossFit, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Originally from Michigan, Sarah moved to Montana in 2015 and joined Bitterroot CrossFit.  CrossFit immediately became a passion.  The health benefits, supportive community, friendships, and confidence from being a part of Bitterroot Crossfit had an immense impact on Sarah which led her to joining the coaching staff in 2019.  Sarah is dedicated to helping others realize their goals from getting their first squat to getting their first muscle up.
